We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated and flexible individual, who will act as
first point of contact for students, staff, parents and visitors and to work in our school office. You
will carry out a range of reception duties including operating the telephone system and following
up messages, word processing, data inputting and other routine clerical tasks.
The ideal candidate will;
have excellent people skills to warmly welcome our visitors, pupils and staff
have experience of working in a reception area
be a committed team player
excellent administrative skills and be able to adapt to different IT systems
be able to work with a degree of initiative and organisational capacity
have an understanding of school systems and processes , experience in the use of SIMS.net would be beneficial
be extremely well organised, have the ability to prioritise work and ensure deadlines are met
previous experience of working in a school environment is desirableAppointment to commence: 1 st September 2019
37 hours per week, Term Time Only – 193 days + 5 days
Grade 5, point 7-9

Under the direction/instruction of the School office staff: provide routine general clerical, administrative, financial and ICT support to the school.
Undertake reception duties, answering routine telephone and face to face enquiries and signing in visitors
Assist with pupil first aid/welfare duties, looking after sick pupils, liaising with parents/staff etc
Assisting with arrangements for visits by school nurse, and other professionals
Provide routine clerical support e g photocopying, filing, faxing, e-mailing, complete routine forms
Maintain manual and computerized records/management information systems
Undertake typing, word-processing and other IT based tasks
Sort and distribute mail
Undertake routine administration e g registers
Provide iPad pupil support
Assist ICT Technician with ICT hardware
Operate office equipment e g photocopier, computer
Arrange orderly and secure storage of supplies
Undertake routine financial administration as directed by the office managers
Be aware of, and comply with, policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
Be aware of and support difference and ensure equal opportunities for all
Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school
Appreciate and support the role of other professionals
Attend and participate in relevant meetings, as required
Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development, as required

We are looking to appoint lunchtime supervisors to assist teaching staff with monitoring pupils during lunchtime and to ensure the well-being and safety of pupils in line with the schools policies and procedures.
This post will be over 5 days / 6.25 hours per week. We would consider a job share post.
