07 Feb China Trip 2019
On Saturday 16th November, 17 year 7 and 8 pupils set off on an amazing adventure to the other side of the world: China. They travelled via Dubai airport to Hong Kong and then across the border to Shenzhen, China. Whilst there, they had countless new experiences as they acclimatised themselves to the climate, culture, time zone and food. They were warmly welcomed by several different schools and took part in various lessons; learnt to play Chinese musical instruments; were shown how to make Chinese dumplings and made many new friends. After 4 nights, they travelled back across the border to Hong Kong where they were welcomed by a local school and visited Hong Kong Disneyland.
Throughout the trip, the children’s behaviour was exemplary and they faced new challenges with resilience and enthusiasm. After a jam-packed week, everyone agreed this was a once in a lifetime experience!
