About Us

Dear Visitors,

Welcome to Wellfield!

We hope you find our website useful and informative both as an introduction to us and as a continued resource.

Our school values are based around the motto ‘We Care’ and we encourage all of our pupils to understand what each value means and work towards these in all aspects of school life.  Wellfield Middle School is an exciting place to learn, where children can get involved in a range of learning experiences both in and out of the classroom.  It is a place with enthusiastic, innovative and caring staff who value one another and work together with their pupils as partners in learning.

Wellfield Middle School is set in spacious grounds and provides a welcoming and stimulating environment for over 300 children aged 9-13 years. All staff and governors at Wellfield are committed to providing the best possible education for our children. Our aim is to maximise the potential of every child in school by striving to give them a broad, well balanced and creative, education. Most importantly we want our children to enjoy school and for all of them to reach their full potential, at home and at school, in partnership with parents.

  • We believe all children should feel happy, included, secure and valued.
  • We believe children learn most effectively when they are interested, excited and stimulated by engaging in a large variety of practical experiences.
  • We believe that you, as parents and carers, are the most important people in your child’s life.
  • We look forward to building long-lasting relationships with you and your child.
  • We believe that children are entitled to a bright and colourful learning environment with high-quality resources.
  • We believe all children have many skills when they join us at Wellfield Middle School and it is our job to build upon these along with their talents and interests.

We welcome visitors to our school and appointments can be made to see around the school and meet staff by contacting the school office. I look forward to welcoming you to the school and hope that your children will be very happy here.

By the time our pupils leave us and go to High School we work to ensure that they are confident, enthusiastic young people who understand the value of hard work and are able to achieve success in many ways.  They will enjoy learning and be polite, friendly and respectful young adults.

If you have any questions or would like to come and visit us please contact us and we will be delighted to show you around.
