The pupils enjoyed two days of magical activities in the launch of our term’s reading project – Magic Reading – including learning magic tricks, analysing magic in literature and a ‘Book Battle’.
Reading is an essential area of the curriculum and we are asking you to help by encouraging your child to read. We hope that you will be able to listen to your Key Stage 2 pupils read for a minimum of 10 minutes a day, whilst more confident readers in Key stage 2 and 3 should be independently reading a range of genres, including fiction, non-fiction, newspapers etc for at least 10-15 minutes a day.
Pupils will be reading regularly in tutor time during the school week and responding using journals. Please refer to our website over the coming term for information about competitions and other events linked to magic
