Rocking Robotics in Year 7

Pupils in year 7 have been programming Lego NXT robots to complete a range of challenges.  Working in teams of 4 with specialist programs they used a variety of motors, levers and arms to control their robotic creations.  Teamwork was definitely required and a great deal of resilience.  They worked super hard.  A superb day 7H!

Combining Basic Computer Skills with Writing in Year 5

Year 5 pupils combined creative writing with some basic computing skills.  They considered the audience and purpose of their writing and included alliteration, clafs and key vocabulary from Food Technology.  Pupils also thought carefully about the layout of their work.

Writing explanation texts

Working in pairs children wrote explanations on how to create a terrain in Kodu and how to add and program a character.  Key skills involved listening to each other and patience as they tried to agree on their explanations.
